Connect Outlook, Microsoft Calendar, and OneDrive to Coherence

Integrate your Microsoft 365 apps with Coherence for unified email, calendar, and file management.

Outlook Integration

Connecting Outlook

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Microsoft
  2. Click Connect Outlook
  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account
  4. Grant the requested permissions
  5. Configure sync settings

Supported Account Types

  • Microsoft 365 Business
  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise
  • Outlook.com (Personal)
  • Exchange Online
  • Hybrid Exchange (with proper configuration)

Permissions Required

Coherence requests:

  • Read and send email - Import, display, and send
  • Access calendars - Sync events
  • Access contacts - Contact sync

For organization accounts, your IT admin may need to approve Coherence in Azure AD.

Sync Options

Historical sync:

  • Last 30 days
  • Last 90 days
  • Last 6 months
  • Custom range

Folders to sync:

  • Inbox (default)
  • Sent Items (default)
  • Custom folders (selectable)

  • Send directly from Coherence

Connecting Calendar

Calendar connects automatically with Outlook:

  1. Complete Outlook setup
  2. Calendar permissions are included
  3. Select calendars to sync

From Coherence to Microsoft:

  • Create events that sync back

Contact Sync

Sync your Outlook contacts:

  1. Enable contact sync in Microsoft settings
  2. Choose sync direction
  3. Map fields between systems
  4. Start sync

Contact Groups

Distribution lists and contact groups:

  • Sync groups as Coherence tags
  • Create groups from Coherence
  • Maintain membership

Address Book

Access your organization's Global Address List:

  • Search company directory
  • Import contacts on demand
  • Keep contact data updated

Troubleshooting

Authentication Issues

"Sign-in failed":

  1. Clear browser cache
  2. Try incognito/private window
  3. Check with IT for app approval

"Admin consent required":

  1. Contact your IT administrator
  2. Request Coherence approval in Azure AD
  3. Retry connection after approval

Sync Problems

Emails not syncing:

  • Check folder selection
  • Verify sync date range
  • Review error logs

Calendar mismatches:

  • Check time zone settings
  • Verify calendar selection
  • Look for sync conflicts

Permission Errors

"Access denied":

  1. Disconnect integration
  2. Reconnect with proper permissions
  3. Request admin approval if needed

For enterprise deployments, work with your IT team to pre-approve Coherence in Azure AD. This streamlines connection for all users.
