Activity Feeds

Activity feeds give you complete visibility into what's happening with your records and workspace.

Record Activity

Every record has its own activity timeline showing:

Field Changes

See when any field was updated, what changed, and who made the change.

  • Previous value and new value
  • Timestamp of the change
  • User who made the update

Emails

All emails linked to the record appear in the timeline:

  • Sent and received emails
  • Email content preview
  • Thread grouping for conversations

Notes

Notes added by team members:

  • Rich text content
  • Attachments
  • Author and timestamp

Tasks

Tasks associated with the record:

  • Task creation and completion
  • Due date changes
  • Assignment updates

Linked Records

When relationships change:

  • New links created
  • Links removed
  • Related record updates

Workspace Activity

Recent Activity Feed

Access the workspace-wide activity feed from the sidebar:

  • See all changes across modules
  • Filter by module, user, or time
  • Quick navigation to affected records

Activity Notifications

Get notified about changes that matter to you:

  • Records you own
  • Records you're watching
  • Mentions of your name

Filtering Activities

By Type

Show only specific activity types:

  • Field changes
  • Emails
  • Notes
  • Tasks
  • System events

By User

Filter to see activities from specific team members:

  • Your own activities
  • Specific colleagues
  • Automated changes (system user)

By Date

Narrow down to a specific time period:

  • Today
  • Last 7 days
  • Custom date range

Watching Records

How to Watch

Click the Watch button on any record to receive notifications about changes.

Watchers receive alerts for:

  • Field updates
  • New comments
  • Status changes
  • Linked emails

Managing Watches

View all records you're watching:

  1. Go to your profile menu
  2. Click Watched Records
  3. Remove watches you no longer need

You automatically watch records you create. Remove the watch if you don't need ongoing notifications.

Finding Specific Changes

Search within the activity feed:

  • Search by field name
  • Search by value
  • Search by user

Audit Trail

For compliance and troubleshooting:

  • Export activity history
  • Filter by date range
  • Include all field changes

Email Activity

Automatic Linking

Emails are automatically linked based on:

  • Contact email addresses
  • Company domains
  • Email references and threads

Manual Linking

Link emails manually when automatic linking doesn't apply:

  1. Open the email
  2. Click Link to Record
  3. Search for and select the record

Email Timeline

The email timeline shows:

  • All linked emails chronologically
  • Thread grouping
  • Sent vs received indicators
  • Read status

Integration Activity

External Changes

When data is updated via integrations:

  • Source system is logged
  • Change details are captured
  • Sync timestamp is recorded

API Activity

Changes made via API:

  • API user/token identified
  • Request details logged
  • Success/failure status

Activity Best Practices

Encourage Note-Taking

Team members should add context through notes:

  • Meeting summaries
  • Call notes
  • Important updates

Use Activity for Handoffs

When transferring ownership:

  • Review recent activity
  • Add handoff notes
  • Brief the new owner
